Claim your damages for lost luggage | Legal aid

2.5 weeks ago I returned from my trip through Cuba. My luggage went missing on the way back and to date my bag has not been found. It concerns an English airline. This makes contact very difficult. They did indicate that I can claim expenses for 'first needs'. I have done that in the meantime. Last Saturday I was called that there would be a 'match' with my bag and that they only had to discuss this with the other airline (due to a transfer in London with another airline). They indicated that they would contact me within 48 hours for more information. After that, nothing was heard again. I doubt I will have my luggage in house for next Tuesday. Next Tuesday will be 3 weeks since I returned from my trip. Now my question is the following: Suppose my bag does end up back with me, can I hold the airline liable for the delay of my luggage and then claim more? After all, they lost my luggage and I think they are getting off easy with a compensation of only €200 for first needs.Lawyer
Unless the delay damage to your bag is not eligible for compensation on your possible travel insurance, you may be able to file a claim with the company. You have a better chance of success if you were unable to access the items in your luggage in time or if they are perishable goods. First consult the travel conditions as well as the conditions of the airline.Neem de volgende stap
