I received an invoice today (26-08-2017), with an invoice date of 27-02-2017 and an expiration date of 13-03-2017. According to the postmark, the invoice was sent on 25-08-2017. It concerns a repair to a cv tap, which was repaired in september/october. i asked for an invoice in december, got the answer, busy busy, still to come. What should I do with this? It seems to me that the payment term has long since passed, as has sending an invoice.

The fact that the due date has passed does not mean that you are not obliged to comply, in this case payment of the invoice. After all, the claim of the mechanic on you is still valid; the claim has not expired. I would therefore advise you to pay the invoice to prevent problems.
