We have been renting an upstairs apartment privately for 47 years. The homeowner is now planning to send someone to view our house because he wants to apply for an energy label. We are 78 and 75 years old and live here with pleasure. Do we have to cooperate with this?

In principle you should cooperate with this, but because you are an existing tenant who has been renting for a very long time this is not necessary. Only for rental contracts after 1 January 2008 the landlord is obliged to issue a label.
