Help with legal problems with your lawyer

We had a bathroom renovated in March 2016 and the company that did this informed us after sending us a quote for additional work that they would not start work again until it was paid immediately. Since then, we have had a bathroom that is unusable. And the quality of the work is poor. We have tried in various ways to get the company to finish the work. However, this company immediately said that we had to pay everything immediately or we would send the bailiff and our legal assistance. We have put the company in default and in breach of contract. In the meantime, we have tried with the help of lawyers to demonstrate that our bathroom is unusable and that the work is poor. Our last lawyer persuaded us to have a claims expert assess the bathroom. The other party only submitted questions about additional work and we asked about repair costs. Now the expert has not included our questions in the assessment questions and despite repeated written and verbal urging to our lawyer, our lawyer does not respond to our request to take action and to still have the questions included in the report. Now there is a very strange and final report in which the damage we have is minimal. We have no hope at all for a good outcome and have incredibly high unspecified bills from our lawyer and the so-called expert and do not know what to do after we have already paid thousands of euros. Our lawyer has not responded to our questions to date. We sent another email more than a week ago to ask why this situation has arisen and have still not received a response. We still don't have a bathroom in our house and don't know how to make this happen. Can someone please help us, as a family we have been without a bathroom in our house for over 1.5 years now and we have the idea that a nasty game is being played with us.

If you are not satisfied with the performance of your own lawyer, you should complain to the office itself (there should be a complaints procedure) and, if that does not lead to the desired result, to the president of the Bar Association.
