Legal questions about moving and contact

Questioner

My children are 22 and almost 20 years old respectively. There has been no contact between their father and them for at least 4 or 5 years. Now we have recently moved. I'd rather not tell him where to. Not even the children. There's no contact anyway, in fact there's finally peace. However, I wonder whether I can be obliged to inform him of this move. I'm reading all sorts of things about asking permission. That seemed really unnecessary to me and it's too late for that now. They are very much into finding things out there, so I thought I would also find out what is being written about this. Please respond.

Lawyer

The children are of legal age and decide for themselves whether and, if so, to whom a notice of moving is sent. No, even though the children are of legal age, you are not obliged to report the move.

That creates peace. Thank you.
