Legal Assistance for Product Issues

Questioner

Last year I ordered and received a dining table with an inlaid top. I soon discovered that parts of the top were loose and that there was nothing underneath those parts. After a lot of back and forth messages with the company in question, they promised to exchange the table for a new one. Yesterday I finally received it. Unfortunately, it is a completely different table for me, in my opinion it does not have the white wash as agreed in the order. I have not been able to reach an agreement with the company about this. In addition, the top of the new table is rough/not smooth, which was the case with the old one. The table leg is not neatly varnished, scuffs are clearly visible. Again, in contrast to the old table. What to do....

You are entitled to what you have ordered and this also applies to exchanges. If you are not satisfied, you can put the seller in default to still deliver the same dining table within x days, failing which you will partially dissolve the agreement. Of course, it is easiest to come to a solution with the seller.
