Legal Advice Residential Destination

Questioner

I bought a house and a former police station 18 years ago. With 2 different numbers. Xstraat 9 and X-laan 25. I think the municipality forgot to convert my house X-laan 25 to private. But the police station has a residential destination, the municipality allows me to live there myself, but I am not allowed to rent it to a temporary agency for Polish workers. The police station was renovated because the municipality said that it had a residential destination. But now the municipality is making it difficult that other people are not allowed to live there. So I think they gave me wrong information. What can I do or what should I do.

Destination residential does not mean that you are allowed to rent out: this must be regulated, that is to say, prohibited, in the zoning plan. What is not explicitly prohibited is allowed.
