How is the amount of unemployment benefit calculated?

Questioner

How is the amount of unemployment benefits calculated? for a 5-day working week 70% How does this work, for example, with a 4-day work week? and 3d workweek Is this also 70% of the applicable salary?

Lawyer

A daily wage is determined on the basis of the SV wage (wage on which you pay tax and social security contributions) which is multiplied by 21.75 (number of days in a month according to the UWV). For a 4-day or 3-day working week this is determined proportionally, i.e. 17.40 or 13.05 days respectively. 70% of the wage is paid out for the number of days worked from the 3rd month onwards.

Questioner

The question remains for me, it could well be that with a 3d working week and then 70% of that unemployment benefit, ( resp: 13.05 days ) that this falls below the minimum wage?? So the question is, what is used as the minimum monthly wage during unemployment benefits with a 3-day working week?

Lawyer

The minimum wage according to the UWV is € 1565.40 per month. With a 3-day workweek the minimum wage is proportional, namely € 939.24
