Liability for damage to a mobile home | Legal advice centre
Questioner
We have a mobile home on a campsite. Now the caravan has been damaged, probably by an air rifle or by shotgun fire (perhaps from hunters). We have about 15 holes in the caravan and 2 in the windows. The campsite is located in the forest but is open and accessible all year round. Apart from the damage, I am now also terribly afraid that something will happen to my children. Who is liable for this? The campsite owner is going to contact the local hunting club about this, is this the right step? Hopefully you have some adviceLawyer
The campsite owner must ensure that you experience as little inconvenience as possible from third parties, i.e. that he must take measures concerning safety and liveability. If this does not happen or to a lesser extent, you can hold him liable for the damage. It is possible that more is determined about this in the general terms and conditions. In any case, I advise you to inform the campsite owner in writing of the damage and your concerns about your children.Neem de volgende stap
