Liability in the event of a property sale - Legal Advice Centre

I sold my house and now it appears that moisture is seeping through the joints of the shower cabin. The buyers could have seen that the joints were bad (wear and tear) and they have viewed the house several times. They have now had this repaired and want me to pay the bill of € 1071.52. My question; am I liable for this and do I have to pay the bill?Lawyer
If the buyers have not first given you the opportunity in writing to inspect the defect and, if necessary, have it remedied, you do not have to pay for the repair. If you were given this opportunity but did not have it repaired, I think that based on the usual provisions in the purchase agreement, there is a good chance that the defect is at the buyers' risk and that the costs of repair should therefore remain the buyers' responsibility.Neem de volgende stap
