Riding Mower in Maintenance? Prevent Confiscation!

If I have my ride-on mower serviced by a company that is visited by a bailiff, do I run the risk of my mower being seized by the bailiff? And if so, can you tell me how to prevent this.

If the maintenance company does not pay its bills and a bailiff comes to seize the maintenance company's property for that reason, your ride-on mower should not be included in those items. The ride-on mower is not the property of the maintenance company, but of you. It can be a problem if the ride-on mower is present at the maintenance company and is therefore considered by the bailiff to be the property of the maintenance company. You will then have to prove to the bailiff that it is your ride-on mower. If I were you, I would ask the maintenance company for a receipt that clearly states that you brought the ride-on mower in for maintenance. That will prevent any problems.
