Liability for group travel to India

I am organizing a trip to India for a group of friends. I will also be accompanying the trip. Each participant books their own flight and arranges their own visa. I put together the program and book hotels, overnight stays and local transportation. To what extent am I liable if something goes wrong on the trip, e.g. illness of one of the participants or changes in the program.

You can put the rights and obligations of the participants in a small document, such as mandatory liability and (special) travel insurance. But that does not cover the situation that you have acted deliberately or reprehensibly, which means that you can be held liable for damage. That is always possible, even if you do not organize the group and the trip.
