NS Liability: Claim your Damage

Last Wednesday I missed my flight worth 250 euros due to a malfunction of NS, the train I took to Schiphol suddenly did not go any further. This caused me to take another train to Schiphol, but the result of this was that I missed my flight. I then wondered if it is possible to hold NS liable for the damage I suffered, namely the paid 250 euros for my flight that I missed.

In principle, consequential damage, namely missing the flight, as is the case here, is not compensated by NS. However, there is some room for negotiation depending on the facts and circumstances.
