Blocked drain indoors. Certified company engaged. After three repairs in two months, still a blockage and water damage. First two invoices paid properly (total €680.00). Third invoice of €241.00 not yet paid. Confidence in this company has been seriously damaged. I have terminated the agreement with this company in writing. Another certified company solved the problem within three quarters of an hour. Costs €240.00. Now a collection agency is being threatened to pay the last invoice of €241.00. Is this a case of breach of contract and what should I do? Can I claim damages?

There is a breach of contract by the 1st company. If you have informed this company in writing that if the repair is not carried out professionally, then this repair will be carried out elsewhere at their expense. After failed repairs, you can terminate the agreement and you can refute the threat of the collection agency with those arguments. I advise you to do this in writing.
