Working hours in the hospitality industry: your rights
Questioner
I would like to know the following. I am currently employed by a company in the hospitality industry. I have a contract for 4 hours per week. However, I work 24 hours per week (for 2 years now). I recently signed a permanent contract, but still for 4 hours per week. I would like a contract of 96 hours (24 pw). My question is, am I entitled to this? Are they obliged to provide the number of hours I have worked in the past 2 years? Can I do something with this? What are my rights? I hope you can answer my question.Lawyer
You can claim the hours you have worked in the last quarter of a year. Being right and getting what you deserve are different things. To avoid antagonizing your employer, I advise you to clearly communicate your motives by means of a request. You should be able to reasonably achieve the 24 hours and the permanent contract.Neem de volgende stap
