Working without Personal Injury Liability Insurance?

Questioner

As a saddle seller and advisor, I also fit saddles and advise people on the position of the saddle based on fit and infrared images. Now, as a self-employed person, I cannot insure myself for personal injury for this type of work (I asked for advice, but there is not even a category that my work fits into). Of course, this is also very difficult to assess in my work, because horses can change physically and riders sometimes sit crooked/wrong. To what extent can I do this work without personal injury liability insurance? In case of production errors of saddles, is the manufacturer responsible? In case of personal injury due to incorrect fit, in my opinion it is hardly possible to prove that the advice was incorrect, because changes are always possible due to (incorrect) saddle pads, pressing saddle cloths, incorrect girthing, incorrect riding etc. etc.

I know that there are quite a few insurance products for self-employed persons on the market. In addition to insurance, it is wise to limit and exclude any liability risks as much as possible in your self-employed contract or general terms and conditions.
