Do you keep your residential address in Germany in the Netherlands?

I have Dutch nationality, work in the Netherlands, but want to register at my girlfriend's address in Germany. The German address is not in the border area. I would then no longer want to keep living space in the Netherlands, other than my holiday home. I can stay there during the periods that I have to be at the office. Is it possible/allowed to have a residential address far beyond the German border and still work in the middle of the Netherlands? So without being registered in the Netherlands?

I understand that you simply work from home and only need to be in the office for a (small, less than half a year) part of the year. Then that is allowed under German law.
