I made a down payment to purchase a car. I went to see the car, wanted to buy the car, because I was interested. But I didn't have the money at that time, so I suggested to make a down payment. So the seller could be sure that I would have the agreed amount together by the end of September and I was assured that he would hold the car for me. There was still a lot to be done to the car, before it could be sold to me. For this I sold my own car, I had the money together faster than expected. We had contact over the internet that I would pick up the car on Monday 29 August since I had managed to have the money together before the end of September. On Monday 29 August I drove from Veenendaal to Odiliapeel together with my girlfriend in her car, to pick up my car, transfer it and finalize the purchase. For this we both took a day off from work. Once arrived in Odiliapeel, the seller failed to deliver as his car did not comply with the agreed agreement. The paint of the car was not perfect, this would make it respectable. It was not, there were several pieces of bare plastic visible on the bumper. And the paint looked bad. Anyway, I didn't want to go home empty-handed. Even though my confidence in the purchase was below par. When I wanted to transfer the car, the 9-digit reporting code of the car appeared to be missing. The seller claimed that I only needed the old paper registration certificate/'registration certificate' to transfer the car. This turned out not to be the case, so my confidence in the entire purchase was gone. The seller saw that I had the money, even counted it. So with that I had my affairs in order. However, the seller remained in default. The car was not ready (paint was missing, a protective edge on the inside of the tailgate was missing). Apart from the fact that the car was not ready, I could not even take the car with me on the agreed date. Because the reporting codes were missing. I took my remaining amount that I still had to pay (apart from the €500 that had already been transferred) back home and abandoned the purchase. Now I would like my deposit back, but the seller sees no reason to pay it back to me. How can I get my deposit back? Thank you in advance for all your efforts, Kind regards,Lawyer
You must inform the seller that he has failed to comply with the agreement and that can be a reason for termination. That is why you are demanding your €500 deposit back. If the seller does not proceed to pay back, you may contact me without obligation.Neem de volgende stap
