Adjust alimony without a lawsuit? Find out how!
Questioner
My ex receives child support and spousal support based on an every other weekend arrangement. However, our 2 children have been living with me for 2 years, 6 nights and 8 nights with her. This arrangement has therefore been adjusted. Our financial agreements have never been changed because she does not want to discuss this. Is the only way to adjust this to go to court? Which will again cost a lot of money? I think this is unfair..Lawyer
Without legal proceedings, alimony can only be adjusted if mutual agreement is reached. If the latter is not possible, then proceedings at the Court with the help of a lawyer are necessary because reducing alimony on your own is not permitted, because then your ex can take collection measures. With regard to the costs, it can still be checked whether you are eligible for government-funded legal aid or whether there is legal aid insurance. If desired, you can contact me for legal aid by a lawyer.Neem de volgende stap
