Liability Tilers - Free Advice

Questioner

2 weeks ago I found a tiler via werkspot.nl and awarded the tiling job to him. The job was fixed in 7 hours which surprised me. It was the entire subdivision including grouting. Approximately 45 m2. The mistake was that the gentlemen did not wait a day to grouting but immediately grouted the tiles afterwards, which meant that they walked over them without letting them dry. This of course to get the job done quickly and not come back the next day in retrospect. When I looked at the job I discovered that a lot of tiles were laid unevenly, which is now increasingly irritating me. Can I hold the tilers liable for the damage? I bought the tiles myself.

You should contact the tilers in writing and state that they have not done their job properly. In doing so, you should give them a reasonable period (10 or 14 days) to repair the defect. If that does not lead to a solution, I could send a letter to reinforce the message.

In addition to the answer of colleague, you can only hold the tilers liable if they are in default. The intended purpose of college is therefore the first legal step you will have to take. If you are not aware of this, I would advise you to accept the offer of a colleague. So that you are in a strong legal position. Hereby.
