My son received a letter from the UWV stating that everything will change in 2018. What we do not understand is that the letter states that his benefit will go from 75% to 70% of the minimum wage in 2018. How is that possible?

I assume that your son has a Wajong benefit. The UWV will reassess all Wajong benefits in the period from 2015 to 2018. In short, this means that if the UWV is of the opinion that your son can work (partly), the benefit will be reduced to 70% of the minimum wage. If your son cannot do this, the benefit will remain at 75% of the minimum wage.
