Liability for Moving and Internet Problems
Questioner
1. We moved on 1 June. I notified the TV, internet and telephone provider of my change of address by email on 1 May. On 2 May I received an email back from the employee I sent the email to. When I called on 23 May to assure myself that everything was OK, it turned out that the move had not been registered. And that we would not get internet, TV and telephone until 6 June. I called about this and wrote a complaint, but they could do nothing. Can I hold the company liable for the expenses and damages I incurred as a result of their mistake? NB. I have a home-based business where I work online. 2. During a phone call in March, the company indicated that it could provide a faster internet connection at the new address. Now that we have reported the move, this does not appear to be the case. However, I have signed a one-year contract. Can I still get out of this?Lawyer
In both cases you can hold the company liable, but everything stands or falls with the proof that you have to provide regarding the move and the faster connection. Also read the conditions because they will object to you. I can help you with drawing up a claim for damages, will you contact me for that?Neem de volgende stap
