Liability for damage after domestic violence

Questioner

Dear legal aid office, I would like to hold the person liable for the damage I suffered as a teenager due to systematic domestic violence. My mother is still dealing with this person through criminal law and liability for damage and alimony. I also want to hold him liable, because this gentleman caused me to develop PTSD complex and multiple psychological complaints. Other complaints are also central, but I can demonstrate full diagnoses and medical data in a private conversation. Missed training because of my complaints, disabled 80%/100%. This will also involve a liability lawyer who works with legal aid. I have already received a payment from the compensation fund for violent crimes, but am finally ready to hold the gentleman liable for the suffering and damage. I still have all the documents and can still prove everything that was going on at that time. There are also more than 70 reports of abuse against this gentleman. My mother wants to add her case to mine, there will be a ruling on this soon. The gentleman is in debt restructuring because of the alimony obligations and debts. The gentleman is out of debt restructuring after 06-05-2016. That is the time when I want to recover the liability from him, after the debt restructuring period. Any advice will be appreciated. Kind regards,

Lawyer

It is good to add the case to that of your mother. The more reports and other evidence, the stronger the case. However, it is important to observe the limitation period for some crimes so that these periods do not expire. The lawyer that your mother has will certainly know this. I therefore advise you to submit your case to that lawyer and to have him advise and assist you. He knows the case and knows where it stands.
