Legal Liability for Shelter Dogs

Hello, I have a question about Legal Liability. We have a foster dog at home. The dog is owned by a foundation and we care for her until an adopter is found. We have signed a foster contract stating that the foundation is not responsible for any damage caused by the foster dog. Does such a foster dog automatically fall under our own WA insurance or does this differ per insurer? How does this work according to the law? We are insured with Nationale Nederlanden ourselves, and they have said that the dog falls under our WA insurance, but I know from other foster families that some insurers refuse liability for a foster dog.

That is indeed possible, but the owner of the animal is ultimately liable for damage caused by the animal, whether or not he or she is insured.
