I have a disagreement with my VvE about placing facade insulation. I would like to provide 2 sides of my apartment with cavity wall insulation. Small holes are made in the facade and filled with spray and then neatly closed. But the board of my VvE responds with the sentences below. According to the Model Regulations 1992, it is not permitted to make changes to the common areas of the building without the permission of the Owners' Meeting. The facade is part of these common areas. The position of the VvE is correct. The permission of the meeting is required for the application of facade insulation. This means that your request should be put to the vote at the next meeting. You should therefore ask the board to put your request on the agenda so that a decision can be made. In the event of a rejection of your request, you can submit the decision to the subdistrict court for assessment and request replacement authorisation to be allowed to carry out the insulation work.
