What is the procedure if I am reported for forgery? Can I be arrested immediately? How will I be informed?

If you are indeed considered a suspect, there is a chance that you will be arrested. You may also receive a letter inviting you to appear voluntarily for questioning at the police station. You may still be arrested. In both cases, you have the right to consult a lawyer prior to the interrogation. If you are arrested, you have the right to a lawyer paid by the State. This is usually a lawyer on duty, but you can also indicate a preferred lawyer. I will advise you to do the latter, as a lawyer on duty can also be a non-fully specialized criminal lawyer. If you voluntarily come to the police station for interrogation, you must pay the costs of consulting a lawyer prior to the interrogation yourself.
