Legal Terms for Parts – Legal Aid
Questioner
Is there a legal deadline for a manufacturer of articles (in this case a bed) to be able to supply spare parts?Lawyer
yes reasonable term, and that depends on what needs to be delivered. There may be force majeure but in principle you don't have to wait months for repair.Questioner
What I am concerned about is a possible legal term. By this I mean the following: I have indicated that it concerns an (electrically adjustable) bed; the type of bed remained in the collection until approximately 3 years ago. My bed is much older (1999) but of the type that was still available 3 years ago. Now I have a defective motor and the manufacturer says that repair parts are no longer available. When I used to be an entrepreneur and sold products, I always made sure that parts were still available for sale at least 10 years later (excellent business by the way!). Now we live approximately 3 years after the type of product was taken out of the collection and I wonder whether the manufacturer has a legal obligation to supply repair parts. Perhaps you can help me further with this more extensive explanation. Thank you in advance.Lawyer
No, there is no such legal obligation.Neem de volgende stap
