My ex-husband wants to change the agreements in our divorce settlement. I do not agree with this. He also does not keep to verbal agreements. He wants to live together and he himself wanted it to be included in the settlement that they cannot move without the other person's permission. He is going to put his house up for sale and move. Can he go ahead with this without my permission? And can he change the settlement without my permission? Furthermore, the settlement states that both parents must consult about the children without the children's involvement. He does not adhere to this agreement. He first tells the children that he has a girlfriend and that he is going to live together without first consulting me. What can I do about this?Lawyer
Agreements made in the covenant and parenting plan cannot be changed unilaterally. If you believe that the care arrangement you agreed upon should be changed due to the move, you can submit this to the court again. You will then have to start a new procedure. There is no real sanction for not adhering to the agreements you mention, but if you were to initiate proceedings because you believe that the care arrangement should be changed, not adhering to agreements will be taken into account.Neem de volgende stap
