Good morning, I have been a widow for 2.5 years with a 9 year old son. Now I am his legal representative, but what if something happens to me? Can I appoint another legal representative myself or how should I arrange this further? Yours sincerely,

You can file a request at the central desk of the court in your vicinity to appoint a third party of your choice in the custody register as guardian of your son in case something were to happen to you. I believe that request is free of charge.
