A handyman has been working for me. An employee hired by him through an employment agency has stolen things from my house. How do I hold him liable for this theft. Kind regards JVLawyer
Have you filed a report, because that helps with the evidence. You can hold the contractor liable for the mistakes made by his employees or people working for him (theft = mistake). He must compensate the damage and can possibly recover this from the subcontractor or his employee, but that is not your problem.
