Wheel clamp and fine: your rights explained

Questioner

Hello. Today I had to give a presentation for work at another company. I couldn't find it quickly and in my haste I thought (all one-way streets), I'll park it here and walk to the company. There were only company parking spaces there, so I parked my car in a visitor parking space of another company. Result: a wheel clamp that was only removed when I paid security company G4S 159 euros. My question: is this allowed? And where does the amount of that fine come from?

A security company has no right to fine you. Only a sworn investigating officer may do so. Whether this fine was issued by this party is unknown to me without being unfamiliar with the details. In addition, the question is what agreements there are in that area, etc. In order to be able to advise you properly, I would first have to delve into this. If the fine was issued unlawfully, it may be advisable to contest it. If you would like further assistance and/or advice, please feel free to contact me.
