Make your rights achievable: resolving a car purchase dispute

Hello, I have had my car at a garage since 22/09/2015. After the purchase I was told that the car no longer had an MOT. Initially the garage owner had told me that her car was in good condition with an MOT. After back and forth he came up with an offer of paying 100 euros for the car to be 100% approved.... Because of everything I had little confidence in him anymore I went to another garage for an MOT where it turned out that the car had to be repaired on 5 points. So the car failed!' A little later I went to the garage where I had bought the car and he had the car approved for 100 within 15 minutes.... I thought it was very strange that it was rejected at one garage and approved at his!! I then called in the RDW to have the car re-inspected at one of the RDW inspection stations. That also happened from the report of RDW it came out that car was wrongly approved..... Now my question how big is my chance to start a case against this garage to win back my costs. He refuses to give my money back or to fix the car!!

You have a reasonably strong case if the car has not been tampered with in the meantime or changes have been made that could hinder the inspection. In other words, if the car has been inspected in the same condition as you bought it, then you can hold the seller liable for the costs incurred.
