What to do if your deposit is not returned?

We rented a house and transferred the deposit to the real estate agent. The real estate agent indicates that they will then book the deposit to the landlord. The final inspection went well, no defects. However, we still haven't received the deposit back. The rental agreement states that the landlord must pay this back within a month. What can and should I do to get my deposit back? And from whom? The real estate agent who arranged everything and to whom I paid the deposit? Or should I report to the landlord?

You need to contact the landlord. You can write to him and demand that he return the deposit within two weeks. You can also immediately state that if payment is not made, you will hand over the claim for collection and claim the extrajudicial collection costs.
