Understanding your own pension recovery

Early 2013 I had an accrued pension of 1429 euros paid out via ..... pension payment. Now in November I received the same papers again (accrual pension and what to do if I wanted it paid out) and afterwards the same amount was deposited. (By the way, I did not respond to the letters because it was clear that it was a mistake) After receiving the 2nd amount I contacted ..... by phone asking why, what for and what to do. They said they would look into it and get back to me, I parked the amount in my savings account. But after never hearing anything again and I became unemployed, it still disappeared into the household pot! Now, May 2015 I have received a message that I have to pay it back!! Can you tell me if that is still possible after such a long time?

Yes, unfortunately for you, that is possible. You acknowledge that you have wrongly received the amount. In that case, the amount can be reclaimed within 5 years.
