Liability in exhaust service: Your rights

In January our dog ran away from the dog walking service. We had owned the dog since September and she had been with this dog walking service since October. We never gave the dog walking service permission to let the dog run free and I am now holding her liable for the costs incurred due to the loss of the dog. She told me that she was insured for this but now says that the insurance does not want to pay out. What can I do to get the costs reimbursed?

Assuming that the lady from the walking service has also indicated that she does not want to pay, you will have to summon her to enforce payment. To estimate the chance of success, I advise you to consult a lawyer.

The fact that the exhaust service is not insured for such matters does not mean that liability is eliminated. That remains the case and I assume that you have worded this well in a letter. My advice is to now send out a new letter in response, preferably legally structured so that the other party also takes you seriously. Summons should be the last option.
