Sick leave and continued payment of wages: what now?

Questioner

I became ill in April 2014. After a good reintegration project (from both sides) I fought back and have been reported 100% better since January 22, 2015. My question is; if I get sick again (> 28 days after reporting better), will the 104 weeks of continued payment obligation for the employer start all over again? I know that this used to be the case, but someone recently told me that this has changed. I certainly hope not to claim it, but it would give me a bit more security now.

Lawyer

If there is less than 4 weeks between the old and new sick leave, this is considered 1 sick leave. If longer than 4 weeks, this is considered a new sick leave and the obligation to continue paying wages applies again. If you wish, you can contact me directly and free of charge for consultation.
