Question about unemployment benefits after dismissal? Get free advice!

A colleague, who will soon be 55, will be redundant from 1 July. Because we are in the same age cohort (I am 59) I may be able to resign in his place. My employer has already indicated that in the ABC scheme the C=0.8 is taken, because I am registering voluntarily. My question concerns whether I am entitled to unemployment benefits. Although I am volunteering, I am taking the place of a colleague who would certainly receive unemployment benefits. This resignation is also a consequence of the reorganization in question. In short, am I entitled to unemployment benefits?

I assume you work for a private employer. In that case, it is still possible to arrange your dismissal through a settlement agreement (dismissal by mutual consent) after 1 July 2015. In principle, you are then entitled to benefits under the unemployment law.
