Liability for incorrect BKR reporting

Dear, On April 1, 2015, we will sign the purchase contract for our first home. Last October our financial application was already being processed but just before Christmas the bank rejected us because a BKR notification was registered. After investigation this notification turned out to be unjustified and we were able to prove that the error, that this notification was there, was not ours but the fault of the company that had placed this notification. Due to the holidays, requesting the BKR took longer than normal and when we were able to reach the company that had taken care of the notification it was already 2015. They apologized 1000 times for their sloppy administration and the notification was removed within a few days. Because it is now 2015, the rules regarding mortgages have been tightened which meant that we can borrow less money. As a result, we are missing out on a €2,500 mortgage due to the tightening of the rules for NHG. In addition, we had to pay off an existing loan of €6,500 in order to get our desired mortgage. We consciously chose to cancel our rent last November and temporarily live with family so that we could save extra to be able to renovate our future home. Unfortunately, the unjustified BKR report cost us €9,000. Of course, the loan of €6,500 has been paid off now, but that was not the intention in the first place.
