Liability for theft during internship - Legal Advice

Questioner

Dear, I am doing an internship at a Design company. Now there has been a break-in at that company and my Imac has been stolen. I put my Imac there with the request of my internship supervisor. Then I could do my work better, because we work a lot with drawing programs. I did this with the thought that it was safe. Because he indicated that it was safe. After the break-in, the company found out that they are not insured for contents. I would like to hold them liable. My internship supervisor has signed a contract that they are responsible for me. How do I approach this? What are my rights?? What can I expect??

Lawyer

You can hold the company liable for your damage in writing in which you explain the situation and indicate that you had permission to leave your Imac at the office under the responsibility of your internship supervisor. However, it does depend on what is stipulated in the internship contract about this. I am prepared to assist you in this. You can contact me directly and without obligation for consultation.
