Liability for Loss of Package - Legal Aid
Questioner
The postal company left a card stating that my package would be under the carport. I didn't find the package there, is the postal company liable for this loss? I have emailed the proof of payment from the sender received. I think the postal company acknowledges that they did not act correctly, because they made the delivery person pay me the value of the package. Is this allowed?Lawyer
The postal company is indeed liable for the loss and must compensate you reasonably. If the value of the package is lower than the compensation, you can contact the postal company for a higher compensation. The terms and conditions may state how to deal with lost packages and what compensation is offered. If you are unable to resolve the issue or require further legal assistance, please contact me directly for consultation.Neem de volgende stap
