Sick leave and waiting day: your rights

Hello, after I went home sick my employer officially reported me sick, so a waiting day is calculated. Can the employer offset the hours not achieved that week with overtime that I still have. Does this make it seem like I have to submit twice?

A waiting day means that you do not receive any salary for the first day/x hours. You can agree to offset this with an extra-statutory vacation day or overtime, instead of giving up a day's salary. The day of reporting sick is/begins the waiting day. And if a normal working day for you is 8 hours, the waiting day means that the first 8 hours after reporting sick are not paid.
