What to do in case of incorrect salary deposit?

What should I do if my agency has paid my salary into the wrong account number and the person who wrongfully received the money has moved and is not responding to requests from the bank to refund the money? The agency is holding me liable for incorrectly filling in my account number (no copy of the bank card was made) - I accidentally entered a 17-digit number instead of 18 as a correct IBAN code should have. Somehow the agency or their bank transferred it to an 18-digit number (one that is quite different from mine) and did not check whether it resembled the number on the registration form or whether the name corresponded to mine. I have called both banks involved and they cannot help me.

My advice: contact the employment agency and explain that you believe you are still entitled to wages and request them to transfer this as soon as possible.
