Volunteer work and WIA benefits: What are the rules?
Questioner
Ls, I have a question: I have a WIA benefit. Now I can (on a voluntary basis, so unpaid) help someone in the jewelry store. This is also my passion (I followed my training in this). Now I would really like to do this, so that I can get back among people and get a bit of a feel for the industry. My question is: is this allowed? Is this considered volunteer work? Does this have any effect on my benefits? I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance for your efforts. Kind regardsLawyer
In general, volunteer work does not include working in a jewelry store. I advise you to contact the UWV if you want to work there anyway. The UWV determines what you may and may not do with a WIA benefit.Neem de volgende stap
