Renault Twingo Liability | Free Legal Advice
Questioner
We bought a new Renault Twingo 2.5 years ago. The car is 2.5 years old. Now a dynamo and tensioner are broken. The warranty on the car was two years, so it is not covered by the warranty. My question is; you can expect this to break down already with a car that is so young. The costs (549,-) are for ourselves? As a consumer, I can reasonably assume that a car that is 2.5 years old does not show this defect. Can I hold Renault liable for this?Lawyer
You are right. The car dealer must resolve this for you free of charge, given the age of the car and the nature of the defects. If they do not want to do this, you may terminate the purchase agreement. You are then entitled to a refund. But beware: you will not get the entire amount back, part of it will be written off, because you have been able to use the car for a while without any problems. If you cannot reach an agreement with the dealer, I will be happy to assist you.Neem de volgende stap
