Spousal support: What will change soon?

I read earlier this year that there would be a bill to reduce spousal support from 12 to 5 years, which in my opinion is not a bad thing. When and how do I know that this bill will be passed and therefore in force? Can a divorce pronounced by the judge with the old term of 12 still be reviewed in those 5 years?

There is not yet enough clarity about the bill to be able to give you a clear answer. As soon as more clarity about this becomes available, this will probably be announced via the usual news channels. The question of whether a previously set term will be shortened in that case must also be addressed in the proposal. There is also no clarity about this yet.
