Health Insurance and Debt Collection: What to Do?

My wife pays a collection agency and also her monthly premium to her health insurance (although sometimes 2 days late).... now it turns out that the health insurance continues to forward all the premium to the collection agency, while we also transfer it to the insurance company itself every month. So the insurance company gets paid twice? What is the best thing to do about this? The amount outstanding for collection therefore continues to increase instead of decreasing.

Hello, you can send a (registered) letter to the insurer stating that they should stop forwarding the premium to the collection agency and that they should ensure a correction to the agency. I would also send a copy of your letter (with proof of payment) to the collection agency. If you are unable to figure it out, please contact me directly.
