Prison sentence waiting period: what now?

Questioner

Young man sentenced after appeal in November 2013 to 15 months in prison. No call yet, normally within 3 months. The incident was almost 5 years ago, Can this all just happen? Young man very depressed (mother too) Waiting is already a terrible punishment, he has nowhere to go, no job, no future. He doesn't dare to go after them either, he's afraid of waking sleeping dogs, he hopes that they will forget him... not realistic of course, but he can't keep this up either; hence this route. This can't go on any longer./He's already suffering. If this question may take so long, the judiciary is obliged to respond within a certain time.

The waiting times for the penitentiaries are indeed on the long side. Hoping that it will be 'forgotten' is of little use in this case, the right to enforce the sentence only expires after a long time, the duration of the maximum prison sentence for the crime committed plus 1/3 of that. (with a maximum sentence of 6 years, limitation only occurs after 8 years) The limitation period only begins at the time of the judgment.
