Until when am I obliged to pay spousal support?

After the relationship ends in divorce or dissolution of registered partnership, spousal support starts. There is no spousal support in the case of cohabitation/cohabitation contract. If you have children together, this obligation can last up to 12 years. If you have no children together and the marriage or registered partnership was shorter than 5 years, then the duration is the same as the marriage/registered partnership.

Another 'solution' could be if your ex-partner enters into a cohabitation relationship with someone, which is comparable to a marriage. This is accepted quite quickly these days. If you can show that your ex often stays with someone else, a judge will most likely grant your request to terminate spousal support.
