Legal questions about mergers and employment contracts
Questioner
I have worked for 36 years at 1 company, this company has merged, no new contracts have been given, so does my permanent contract remain valid? And what happens to my accumulated 36 years?Lawyer
In the event of a transfer of undertaking (legally for merger), all rights and obligations between the old employer and the employee are transferred by operation of law to the new employer. In other words, the contract simply continues and the accrued 36 years also remain.Neem de volgende stap
