Voucher problem? Get free legal advice!

Questioner

Hello, I have a voucher that was valid for 6 months, unfortunately I was 2 days too late to redeem it. I immediately contacted the store. Unfortunately they were very unfriendly. I then sent an email to the service office, but unfortunately I can no longer use the voucher of 110, -. Can you give me some advice?

There are whole discussions about the validity and not least in the shops where the coupons are issued. A validity period may be attached to the coupon. There is a lower limit to this validity period: it must be valid for at least one year after sale. This is because a voucher is a claim against the retailer. The rules on general terms and conditions stipulate that such a claim may not expire within one year. But that does not mean that a validity period of one year is reasonable. For example, you may not apply the blacklist on general terms and conditions. It only offers prohibited, but no permitted conditions ('prohibition of a contrario interpretation' is what lawyers call it).
